Our New Home (:

As Jesse said we just bought our house and can't wait to do all sorts of fun stuff to it! Jesse has miraculously left me in complete charge of the kitchen and I can't wait to get started. I have been looking for months and figuring out exactly what I want to do, it's going to be gorgeous. Last week my beautiful sister watched Kenzie for us and we went to all the fun shops down 25th street and got some really amazing things. The first step is getting all of our blinds installed tomorrow and then painting! I've been trying to get Jess to let me paint for weeks, so hopefully he'll give in soon. I think he's terrified I'm going to ruin the house *smirk* One day while he's at work I may just start and "surprise" him. Ha ha. Here is my inspiration for the kitchen and I'll be sure to take lots of before and after shots!

I absolutely LOVE bead board and the way it looks with the glaze on it, I'm going to use it everywhere I can! Mostly on the sides of the cabinets and below the counter top.

This is the molding I'm going to use for the top of the cabinets. It's so pretty.

I'm painting the cabinets white and glazing them to achieve this look. I also want to add the architectural elements that they have. And I love the light, but I don't know if we'll be able to have that over our counter--I'll have to ask Nick (:
